My Directv requires you to have a HD Sat. Box and it needs to be hooked up to the Internet via (DSL). All I can get with that is what they offer... No Netflix or anything else...

I would assume your Netflix ready TV will need a DSL connection as well. In my case if I want to go the Roku route to watch Netflix I will have to buy a Roku box about $80 and buy a Wifi router. Probably less than $150 total for equip... Of course I could just go buy a new TV!<G>

Let me know how Netflix works if you use it.

This is how I watch my Netflix "instant watch" movies and tv shows - I leave it plugged in to the tv and push it to side when I am not using it - so simple to use and by far the cheapest way:
