Says the dollar credit will be paid retroactive if the extension gets passed... and we still have the state .33 per gallon credit. So long as we keep getting the grease Extreme will get their profit as they always have with out the credit and Evirotek will get the extra dollar credit in due time.

Users still want the stuff and the state credit of .33 x 4,000 gallons = $1,320 per day with $4,000 per day to catch up when the extended credit is paid retroactively.

A one-year extension of the biodiesel tax credit was included in a bill that was approved by the U.S. House recently, but it never made it through the Senate.

Lawmakers say the tax-credit will be retroactive if approved.

...also commercial end users get carbon credits for using bio fuel blends and will pay a little more.

I believe the plants closing down bought fresh feed stock and that is expensive.

I believe the extension will go thru and while it may have been a though year for other biodiesel plants Extreme has increased its mini refinery sales and production.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Martin, although it is good to keep up with what is happening in the world of biodiesel, my faith is not shaken in our teenager ENTK.

As surely as night follows day, crude oil will rise again and ENTK will be there to answer the call. Remember, it is our diversity that makes us strong.

Good Evening Entekers:

I was browsing the board to find an apparently bad News for BioDiesel producers. N0t approving the biodiesel tax credit by the Senate could create 6 Mil. loss in profits for ENTK

1. Yearly Production Mid 2010 : 6,240,000 gal/year
2. Price at Refinery = $1.93/gal
3. Cost of Production = $0.8/gal
4. Total profits = $1.46 * 6,240,000 = $9,110,000
Federal subsidy = $0.33/gal
Profit= Price at Refinery + Subsidy - Cost of production =
$1.93 + $0.33 - $0.80 = $1.46

ENTK will still have profits but it wont be as good as we all expected!

The good news is that Senate might approve it as soon as this quarter with retroactivity:

Still, ethanol producers appear to be bouncing back and maintain unflagging political support. And the Department of Energy announced last month that next-generation biofuels would get more than $600 million in federal funding.
Is that over the board or just for ethanol ??

Biological cons of ethanol:

How counterproductive of all of the efforts to clean up the environment !!!
