#88212 RE: woofer #88200

That seems like a pretty drastic step. I look at it differently as we are all in this together (by all I mean everyone on this planet). Either one believes that everyone should have an opportunity or they don't. I don't believe in American exceptionalism but I do believe we have the best form of government so far.

People in other parts of the world have every right to happiness that we have and a job is one way to seek that happiness. For years we have taken advantage of other countries and with the spread of educational opportunities to other parts of the world they are starting to develop their own talent and in many cases their work ethic is far superior.

As I have mentioned I am the only American in my company. This year we have had our best year and are expanding significantly. When we land contracts we fly in Indians who have Visas instead if hiring because it's far cheaper and it makes us more competitive. Whether one realizes it or not our life style and absurd consumption based economy is going to change and has to change. While other countries improve their living standards our will either be stagnant or not improve at the pace we had in the past.

But the key is we are all in this together and we have to stop with this us or them attitude or we will be the ones on the outside looking in 30-50 years. We need to make the changes in our attitudes now but I don't see that happening. China and India have the edge in people and shortly brains and education.
