It's funny that you mentioned the word "drastic" because that's exactly the word I used when I posted the list to him. I pretty much agree with everything you said with two exceptions.
1) Just like my family comes first, our country comes first when I think of employment. Shipping jobs overseas is not my idea of putting country first.
2) You said that you believe our country has the best form of government. I'm not going into why, but I disagree. =================================== oops, I see that I disagree with another point:
As I have mentioned I am the only American in my company. This year we have had our best year and are expanding significantly. When we land contracts we fly in Indians who have Visas instead if hiring because it's far cheaper and it makes us more competitive. Whether one realizes it or not our life style and absurd consumption based economy is going to change and has to change. While other countries improve their living standards our will either be stagnant or not improve at the pace we had in the past.
Your company has done what one of my husband's previous employers did which is to hire people from India, Russia, Pakistan and China to name a few. If saving a few bucks means more than putting people back to work, then I don't think it's worth it. At least Europeans seemingly care about keeping their people employed. Here's a little personal experience on the subject: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=34006838 ===================== I used to think that the "Buy American" campaigns were silly. Now I wish they'd start up again.
