I agree with your conclusion but wonder why you would quote Steve McIntyre? He's a retired petroleum geologist who operates a website devoted to "warming denial". You should also know that McIntyre has never found fault with Mann's corrected Hockey Stick. To be fair, it was McIntyre who pointed out the flaws in the first Hockey Stick.
Like I said -I hate to give you a clue but they were not hiding anything. They discussed it when the paper was published and he went back and put in real temperature data from 1960 on so please stop saying they were trying to hide anything.
