No MS license coming soon
sorry these facts get in the way of your thinking if they had no problem doing this with the Flagship of of windows then Neo is a fly on the windshield (they might have learned but that will have to wait and see)

philam: Your basic assumption is Microsoft does not already have a license. If this is true, then why has Microsoft not yet taken a license and what has to change for them to take a license? The only answer I can think of is a resolution to the EU re-exams.

Iain did comment he had at least one conversation with Microsoft, but seemed dismissive about the idea. Not sure if that means anything.

Also, Microsoft's Don Dodge listed Scanbuy as their company to watch.

http://dondodge.typepad.com/the_next_big_thing/2006/12/2007_prediction.html

"Mobile web - The press calls cell phones the third screen (TV, Computer, Phone). They have it backwards, the cell phone is the first screen for the younger generation. Mobile applications are hot, going far beyond ring tones. Location Based Services will be hot in 2007. Mobile search is a multi billion dollar opportunity. Companies to watch; uLocate, ScanBuy, EnPocket, Innovectra."

I see lots of hoping, but no evidence to support a NeoMedia/Microsoft relationship.

But again, they could already be licensing through one of our partners. We might never know.

As remote as you think that may be, MSFT has already gone ahead and started using their tags.. they are already infringing....

why would they stop... They are smarter than any of us here, and have enough money to hire the best lawyers, who must have found some workaround or some way to preceive the notion that what they are doing is not infringing on NEOM's patent...

just my thoughts...
