Most people dont do what we do, take some risk for the pay-off, "buy micro cap stocks" but if I was in the "know" I might take the chance and the plunge. Every now and then we see a 5k trade go through could be them?
Like Mikeo states, not everyone likes a risk. Some years back I met the granddaughter of the bottling company that processed Coca Cola's first batches. Her grandfather was offered a major stake in the then unknown soft drink company. He opted out of that offer for a clean-safe payment on the services of bottling.
This takes longer than holding a good hand in a poker game, but it still feels like a good hand. I'm in.
Clu82~this has me puzzled as well. I see it as the biggest red flag there is here. It just doesn't make much sense. The new CFO should have brought in some buddies, JB's lawyer should be telling his buddies, the third party currently testing the machine should be telling their friends and family, etc.
I don't find it confusing at all. How many people actually invest in a company they work for that don't have a 401k? I think the percentage of people is very small. Plus you have to have money your willing to lose in a bad economy. Not everyone has that kind of money and courage at this point. I think this could be a great opportunity for people who are willing to take the risk, but like the old saying says "Money makes money" holds true here.
