I understand your point of view...
The problem with these guys is that they can't see anything else. They never express a balanced point of view. I'm sure the argument to that is that there is no rational explanation for the positive point of view. But that's simply not true... Rarely is anything as black and white as they present it... especially in world economics. The same can be said for the eternal bulls, many of them do the same thing expressing their point of view and you know what happened when the dot com bubble popped. I don't give much credibility to either side, I think both have merit but, when you see somebody make stuff up or just outright lie then it's time to turn him off!
My belief actually lies somewhere in between... leaning to the side of "we will survive this". Since I expect to be around for a while longer I will work my butt off to have as many marbles as possible for when I have to crawl under that rock. Along the way I will even give a marble or two to someone that is in need... But I do it because I want to, not because it was taken away from me by the government for redistribution.
There will always be an opportunity somewhere, the trick is to find it and make it work for you. Constantly preaching doom and gloom is not an opportunity and doesn't do anything to improve my place in life.
