Seattle does make a very good point. The average Joe in fact would not drive any further than he had to just to fill up with bio fuel; especially if the cost was equal or higher compared to regular fuel. Most average Joe’s live for the “now” and do not think about the future. Something to consider, is bio fuel will become much more appealing to the average Joe when the cost of regular fuel starts to sky rocket. Oil producing nations simply need to hold or start reducing production for this to happen. We saw this recently when gas cost went up to $4.99 per gallon, ouch! At that point bio-fuels become more cost effective. There was a lot of wind in the sails for alternative fuels until gas prices came back down. We need to bite the bullet and keep moving forward with our own fuel sources and cut off the oil producing nations. I think sooner or later our country will figure this out. For now as long as there are cheaper fuel sources and they are easy to get to bio fuels will always be second around the corner. IMHO of course.. I am in this LONG, because I know it is only a matter of time and bio fuels will be on center stage.
