wolf, yeah, i considered that and assumed that was your rationale. incidentally, the more i thought about it, a potential glitch down the road (for both dollar volume and trading volume) is when the stock price actually starts moving a bit. it's easy to decipher both volumes now since the bid and ask are pretty much stationary on any given day, but if there ever actually comes a day (lord willing) when the stock reflects, eg, a bid and ask at .0003 over the course of the trading day, then it will really get messy trying to determine how the money is flowing. anyhow, thanks again for all your efforts. much appreciated.
