rico -- if Kerry does build on last night in the remaining debates, the situation could get to the point where only something 'more nefarious' could do the trick -- it was that scenario I meant to address -- of course they'll pursue their usual election rigging tricks/spreading lies and fear/etc.; they're feverishly working on those sorts of things in plain view right now
