What's missing in most vitamin studies is the fact that they don't balance the vitamins. Vitamins are chemicals. You're doing chemical reactions. To get the proper results you have to use the correct proportions. It's actually possible to give a person a vitamin C deficeincy even though they are getting enough vitamin C by increasing certain other vitamins to way more than they need.
So it's not possible to test the effects of a vitamin by itself. You have to know what the balance of the other vitamins a person is or is not taking are. It's not possible to have people take say 1000 IU of vitamin E and have the results tell you anything about whether vitamin E is good for you. About all you would find out is it's probably not a good idea to a whole bunch of vitamin E by itself. You need the other vitamins that go with it for it to work properly.
