It would seem if freedom of speech is your argument, then a response to your political rants should also be tolerated. Freedom of speech is after all, freedom of speech for all.

Personally, I would prefer to post about the stock market on ajtj's thread. Politics and religion are one of the quickest ways to ruin a good market related thread, IMO.

However, only stepping up to the plate when the conservative side is voiced is less than appropriate. So I suggest if you refrain from political rhetoric on this thread, I will have no reason to respond in kind.

Thanks. My only wish is that more politicians were pandering to more special interests like those who want government to provide free vibrating butt plugs to all domesticated small, virgin animals. I don't see anyone going after that vote this fall, and that's probably a sizable constituency.
