I belive its because they have a questionable thought on actually getting the certs..... You would need to sell, deposit cash in TDA and then purchase back....

It won't be long until no one will let your transfer in a SPNG position. This company has pulled too much nonsense and the regulators are closing in on them very fast.

The phony legal opinion letter issue is not over. In fact, it is just heating up.

Interesting....TD ameritrade will not accept my transfer of shares from Scott....I tried last week and they will not transfer...what is up?

That right there should tell you they checked availability and there is none, therefore they don't want to be responsible for your shares in the event of a cover and squeeze.

wow that is interesting. I absolutely would not sell and wait for funds to clear and then buy back later, to risky that you’ll miss the move. I’d just sit tight, maybe call again and try to inquire more, that’s crazy. I’d try to get in contact with SEC, Something is really fishy about that. I agree with Rdaily. Also, if your not on a margin account, call and ask for your stock certificates.

SDBob, I also tried to transfer (from Scottrade) for the same reason last week...was told the same. It left me with the impression that ST didn't really have the actual shares to transfer....just my opinion though...but if were the case, I think things could get interesting soon.

See what Interactive Brokers can do for you. They are usually pretty good.

I have an acoount with TD Ameritrade and I purchased my shares of spng two weeks ago through them.

Since securities are basically frozen when transferring from one to another, I bet they can't do it with a R/S looming. They don't want to take a chance in transferring x amount of shares and basically have it in transit when the old stock has to be turned in for new stock. Of course, this is all guessing on my part.
