DPRK warns UN, Pyongyang's 'countermeasures'

More...... plutonium enrichment program, it sent a letter to the UN, obtained by POLITICO. The letter declares recent UN Security Council resolution 1874, undertaken to protest Pyongyang's missile tests earlier this year, "in wanton violation of the DPRK's sovereignty and dignity." The UN Security Council presidency is currently held by the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, who gets to host world leaders along with the UN General Assembly President -- Libya -- later this month in New York.

"If the UNSC only continues this standoff ... the DPRK will be left with no choice but to take yet another strong self-defensive countermeasures as it had already warned," the DPRK ambassador at the UN Sin Son Ho warns Rice.
