IMO, flipping would be very a very risky venture as you well state.

"2) try to flip for a profit...a word of caution here. DO NOT expect to catch the highs on your sell or the lows on your buys back in. There will be a lot of MMs and shorts ahead of you in line for the best prices, and you may be shut out, finding yourself chasing the price to get back in."

no_BS_plz, actually I agree with you. I mentioned that to someone in a post yesterday. In the past, every time we had big buying come in, as soon as the buying was done and the volume went back down, the price headed south. I have a feeling Friday may have been the last of the buying. Hopefully not, just a feeling. If it was, I suspect the price will flitter a bit, then slowly head down a bit. Unlike the past, this time I don't think it will go down much. Also depends on the 10K. If it looks really good, I think we'll see a little spike in price. If it's right about where we expected it to be (or what we've talked about it being), then I don't see much of a price spike. Never know. Just have to wait and see. Like I say, best soap opera in town!

VERY well said n_B_p...

we have seen this in the past and i FULLY believe that we will see this type of activity in the near future...

retail HAS been locked out in the past... sell all you want, but impossible to repurchase until 'they' begin to allow retail orders back in...but dont expect that allowance to take place anywhere near 'the bottom' of a scripted 'sell-off'.

its gonna be a crazy looking ride... and it may 'feel' like the end of the world is near... but looks can certainly be deceiving. I don't know if 'they' have the ability to do this as wickedly as (i believe) they did on a certain friday--but i am not going to rule it out--an enormous amount of money is potentially at stake for 'them'.

rolaids, tums, pepcid and a strong cocktail on standby... you can never be TOO prepared.

No BS

I have also seen many scenarios on earnings report, and agree anything is possible. However I believe mngmt will give the earnings for rest of Aug before the 10K, thus limiting the amount and duration of any dip.

I also did a quick rough calc as to what I think PPS should be based on 1st Q sales and probable o/s. I see earnings for next fiscal to be .08 to .12 per share.Using my standard PE of 10 for forward earnings I see PPS value of .80 on up.

To say the least, my sell orders start well above .80, there is not enough profit to take a risk selling below that.

BS: Even though it is a possibility of a dip and I have only been playing the stocks for a short while compared to you, I do think it was just as much of a possiblity in the minds of those flippers, etc, that the 10K could come out friday night or this weekend and I think the majority(not all) of them bailed friday. IF there is a dip Monday, I think it will be short term and recover massively with the 10k. Been following Lazyboy stock for several months...dipped below a dollar based on poor performance and losses. Recently 10K hits with a small profit again and now it is trading around $10. IF the SPNG 10K is all it should be and I believe it will be, then there is no chance in hell that I will be left holding an empty bag from flipping or selling off. I am holding tight...way too scared not to be in this at the right time and IMO, I think anyone is absolutely crazy not to be doing the same.
