Amen LT...I rode one down from initial buyin .004--averaged at .001 and it soared to .07---took about 6 months but the payoff was needless to say pretty good :) And this was with a stock that had billions in AS and rumored rev stock split LOL GD actually has an unbelievable Share structure and very promising biz model.

without going into other specifics, yes, it is essential to prevent a sell off triggered by some frustration due to no info from company. in a tight ss like this one, huge moves can happen even on the downside. mm for this stock is definetly interested in profit here. each has their timeline and bonus to work at, for/from their investment firm. your theory of nite etc is ok in the larger perspective, but the specific need of the localized mm for the stock is important. true he/she can make it up in quick time with a 2000% run, with assistance from the technicals. time is of the essence for the mm. as time passes, these technical targets get lowered.
they have their own projects-timelines-targets to work with, just as in every investment firm.
