You make a decent point here kid. I asked myself the same question and heres what I came up with. Most of the states electric producers have converted to nuke power or have the benifit of hydroelectric. There could be some transmission cost related to where Ca. is buying thier natural gas but I don't see how that could result in an 800% increase. I wish I could ask the right people some questions. It has the suspicious odor of an attempt to get either the federal govt. to bail them out or force the environmental factor to accept immediate reconstruction of obsolete infrastructure financed by tax increases. What's your view?
