#1665 RE: otraque #1664

I am going to fine tooth comb this.

He will stay in Iraq until it is pacified but supposedly since Iraq has been labeled, erroneously in my opinion, as part of our war on terror it will be less a military operation???

His words for what they are worth, not mine, and that as you pointed out might not be much.

His 4 years statement and some others should drop like a lead balloon. He should have known better, now he seems to be refining them. I cannot be positive that he will stay in Iraq and that our presence will be a less military operation. If he brings in the UN instead of NATO that would be a good sign.

He should not have acted and made certain statements.

He has refined some statements.

I will not swear to the veracity of any candidate.

And you, my friend, may get the chance to rub my face in this. I do think Bush will get reelected.

I’m going to go see if I can ban myself.

Military policy

Friday, August 27, 2004 - Page updated at 01:17 A.M.

John Kerry believes America must fight terror, stop the spread of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, and promote democracy and freedom around the world. He has said, however, "The war on terror is less of a military operation and far more of an intelligence-gathering and law-enforcement operation." He promises "a new era of alliances."

Kerry voted for the Iraq war resolution, and defends that vote. He says the president needed the bargaining power the war resolution gave him, but that Bush went to war rashly, without enough understanding and foreign support.

Kerry is for staying in Iraq until it can be pacified. He calls for an increase in enlistment of 40,000 troops so that the military can reduce what he calls the "back-door draft" of the National Guard and Reserves.
