IMO, the CEO should run the company and let the pps do as it will. Getting the business. Getting the production. Maintaining a good, trained workforce. Controlling costs, quality, etc is his job. Those things being done, the pps will be there. IMO, he should not be distracted from the running of the company by the pps. I am sure JD is in tune with that.
It can be very bad if the "street" thinks the CEO is trying to push the pps.
The bottom line will determine the pps. Nothing else.
