I completely agree. I guess I should have made my point more clear or worded it a little better. I can see how people might take it as he is trying to pump the price. I do not think he is pumping at all! He is getting the pps strong THROUGH the means you describe. Just based on what you said in your post, taking care of the bottom line ends up taking care of the pps. JD is making all the right moves and he is maintaining focus on the business, but at the same time I think he realizes something that very few CEO's realize. He sees the importance in keeping shareholders informed and generally providing the information that keeps the stock attractive.
Very few CEO's keep the idea in mind that there are two fronts that need to be maintained with a publicly traded company. JD understands that the shareholders helped him during a very lean period and he is showing that he is not turning his back on them now that the business is rolling in. His focus on the bottom line and building the business is undeniable, as is his appreciation and dedication to the shareholders.
We are lucky to have a CEO that can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.
