Skunksyard, highly unlikely. Think of how many people are considered bashers on this board alone. Wolf2 stated earlier that he had 72 people on ignore. There are thousands and thousands of stocks out there. Do the math. Do you think there are millions (or at least hundreds of thousands) of paid bashers out there? If fhere are, how come you don't know any personally? Where do they advertise job openings? Look at my history here. I just joined the other day, but many here would consider me a basher. How much money do you think I could make off of a maximum of 18 posts a day?

No, it doesn't happen. Hell, I'd be happy to do this for money. Anyone want to make me an offer?

Dusty's more than a little obsessed with me. Not healthy, you know.

They may have found the missing link up in Saskatchewan. It is being said UC will be at the drill site all weekend and the geologist has been called in for some reason also.
They have been drilling a huge kimberlite now believed to be 5 miles by around 8 miles across. Drilling is said to be over 300 feet into kimberlite and still drilling. This is info from other boards and is to have come from Pal Talk and possibly Melvin.
The company in my opinion has been waiting for significant results from drilling before releasing news about a possible move(merger, ect)that would force the shorts to cover at a time of heavy buying pressure.A significant discovery along with the annoucement of a very low float, as is rumored, and dividends being distributed in the same time period would put tremendous pressure on any short possition if there is one.
I also think if we have a huge short any shares in the float (large or small) would be eaten up by the shorts covering fairly quickly and we all know what happens when there are no more shares to buy and there is a large demand on the buy side for a stock.
I also hear that there might be some kind of deadline that the MM's have to file reports on reveiling any shares they are short in with the SEC in Sept. Don't know this for sure. Maybe Janice would know. That would also be to CMKX's benefit if true also.
I think CMKX has a short time period in which to give the power PR needed to establish significant value in the claims and create buying pressure for the stock. I would say within the next couple of weeks at the latest for it to have maximum effect on share price. The maximum effect will be deminished after all the time lines for the dividends run out. People will most likely sell quicker to take profits without the penalty of losing part of their dividends there to help influence them to hold.

does this really happen?

Never in the real world. Often in someone's fantasy.

How MMs conduct business is not difficult to learn. The entire industry is highly regulated. Being a MM costs money, and you've got to have a license even before you start paying to make a market in a stock.

And, while we're on the subject, MMs short stocks all the time. Every day. It's a normal part of the routine.
