dmiller

Can't you read IDCC said clearly they will release the news on the 28th after the market closes that doesn't mean the 29th before the market opens. I mean you have always been so maticulous in your post to us and something as simple as the press release and you can't understand it makes us wonder what you do understand. Do you understand that IDCC is about to go a lot higher? Do you understand the judge already knows how he is going to rule? Do you understand that Nokia would be a damn fool to have their products banned in the U.S? Do you understand that Nokia no way in hell wants to go to a civil court with a ITC ban and have a court decide how much they should pay IDCC and maybe treble it, and even if they appealed the ban would be in place. Nokia wants to license with IDCC for sure but they are hoping they could save a few pennies but IDCC I think says we have arrived Nokia, and its pay us what is reasonable or face a ban, yes you have a big share of the market which means you are nothing more than the largest infringer and doing it with malice and failure to negotiate in good faith. You have been released from a 3G contract already saying in my opinion we will negotiate a new 3G contract in good faith after you license I guess one of the other MENS, and Samsung licensed and you said wait we didn't mean what we said when we agreed to get out of the previous 3G agreement, we meant we would negotiate in good faith as long as we didn't have to pay a fair rate but a almost nothing rate. IDCC says well we offered you reasonable terms and you rejected them, and now we are going to be just as nice to you as you was to us. You have way more to lose than we do as we are getting by just fine, and you will be banned from U.S. sales, so what do you want to do?

Dmiller what would you do if you was Nokia? Lets say IDCC wants $1.50 a handset and whatever for infrastruture would a $1.50 stop people from buying a Nokia phone? Would Nokia make money still if they had to pay IDCC a $1.50 a handset? My opinion is yes they make money and not have to spend millions trying not to pay, they also would not have the image of do business with Nokia and be prepared to spend years in courts. Good companies should treat other people as they would want to be treated but Nokia wants it all for them and nothing for you, and that dog is not going to humt, QCOM didn't bend and got what they call a great deal, and IDCC isn't going to bend and IDCC will also get a great deal.
