idcc also had a history of the earnings five minutes before the call. the last two have been the following morning. that must give the analysts a better comfort level to ask questions, knowing they won't step in a pile...

They weren't (referenced or skeptical). For all invested here I hope they meet expectations. I'm assuming a good quarter. Can't see why it wouldn't be. I never want to see any investor with reasonably optimistic expectations for a company I follow (and whose message board I participate occasionally on) and he has a major investment in, disappointed or taken negatively by surprise by that company in an earnings report.

I'd like to see any and every company in mobile wireless meeting the markets expectations for them. The sector has been out of favor, and I'd like to see sector sentiment improve. That requires positive earnings and the more the merrier.
