So Saddam wasn't a threat to Middle East stability? How soon we forget about his attack on Kuwait and the missiles he launched against Israel as we liberated Kuwait. How soon we forget about his wars with Iran.

Middle East instability is the main reason why we were attacked on 9/11. And any country giving safe haven to terrorists deserves the fate of the Taliban and Saddam's regime.

"evidence" ??? Did we ever see ANY "evidence", other than speeches telling us it's all confidential. We never DEMANDED evidence and the press never pushed for it either. We swallowed the terrorist-around-every-corner line.

When JFK made his charge (1961) that the then-USSR was shipping equipment to Cuba, he had photos to prove it and he went to the UN with the "evidence".

Surely technology has made major advancements in the past 43yrs, and yet we still SEE no evidence. Sadly, this appears to be o.k. for many people as thousands of our sons/daughters are sent into harm's way - many never to return.

Do you really think that is why they were against it... Could not have anything to do with oil for food? Or the fact that they sold them military Equipment against sanctions etc?
