Arafat is a terrorist, I don't know why you seem to think you can negotiate with terrorists. Even Clinton said Arafat was given a compromise for Palestinian/Israeli peace that was more than generous, and Arafat turned it down. A year later, Arafat wanted the same agreement, but it was no longer available because Israel wasn't willing to make such concessions.

Agreement/dialogue is fine. But are you actually claiming that every war in the history of our world could have been avoided with dialogue? I don't believe that's the case. Sometimes you have extreme differences in views that can only be settled by the sword. I'm fine with giving dialogue a chance, but when it means postponing war for another year or two, and allowing our enemies to build up more strength, and thus kill more Americans, and the war is inevitable, I'd rather fight that war today when we have a better chance of winning with less casualties.
