The difference between the Republicans playing the 9/11 card and Kerry playing the war hero card is that, unlike Kerry, the Republicans aren't rewriting history. Bush was there at Ground Zero, and took it as his personal responsibility to avenge the death of thousands of Americans. Kerry, on the other hand, served for a brief 4 months, and then came back home and did everything he could to bash the war and the men who served. Yet now he wants us to look at his service as though he was a war hero?
As long as you repeat fact, and don't try to rewrite history, I don't think you jeopardize having it backfire. I didn't hear anything last night about GWB and 9/11 that wasn't true.
