However...to short an octbb issue...regardless of price....the margin requirement is higher isn't it?

Until Reg SHO becomes effective, the SEC doesn't regulate the shortselling of BBs and Pinkies at all. To the extent that there's any regulation, it's done by the Nasdaq.

and the gentleman told me that he didn't think this would be allowed by the SEC.
