I thought you could get a letter from them decalring the positions worthless if shares are CANCELLED

how would a short clear a postion on a BK?

I still show one of those (spin-off?) in my Scotty account as well- hasn't traded in years. I've been to lazy to check on getting rid of it. But from the sounds of it from your post I ASSume the ticker will remain in my records hence still showing up on my "Positions" and taunting me even if I succeed in getting it declared worthless? Might better keep it (too small to be a tax-loss advantage)
