Arima sales in 2008 and projected 2009. In 2008 they shipped 9.5 million handsets to Sony Ericcson. If we got 2 bucks a unit that ain't bad.
Are they all 3G handsets?
I projected that SonyEricsson sold 22 million 3G WCDMA handsets in 2008 based on what Eric provided last fall.
That could be one of the reasons that IDCC is not in a hurry to sign SonyEricsson. IDCC is receiving royalties from the sale of Ericsson products through Arima. There are other reasons such as the possible spli between Sony and Ericsson and Ericsson could be waiting on a Nokia/IDCC settlement.
