The waste percentage doesn't have much to do with it at this point. At what price can they sell the percentage of clean coal that they do produce now? Keep in mind that Quest/Gwenco is not capable of mining by itself. They are paying the contractor about $32 per ton. That is huge, but consider who is doing all of the heavy work at the mine. They are entitled to a large cut. Along with all of the other overhead involved, their breakeven point is slightly above the current depressed market price. The market is far from tight now and that is a major reason for the lack of major profitability in the sector now.

I believe you and I do believe in the mine. I have stated that all along. And based on the history of the people that are working the mine and all of your very detailed and helpful posts about these folks, I have no doubt that someday this mine will turn out the goods but only after the "politics" are removed.
