not-til-2005: Why did both HITACHI and NEC have agreements a few years back with WAVE which included the use of WAVE METER? I think the answer is pretty darn easy: Because client side hardware metering of local content is OWNED by WAVE through their multiple patents covering this area! Do you think MS will trample all over WAVE's patents which have been explicitly VISIBLE to all of the OEMS in the past years? Including, by the way, Hewlett Packard which explicitly acknowledged the WAVE Metering Patent in the 10/98 HP/WAVE Agreement!
