Interestingly enough, I read on a website that the only thing "done" to make meat "halal" is the reciting of a prayer just before they slit the animal's throat while it's hanging upside down.

They have their own inspectors, as well, to insure things are done in the proper fashion.

I don't see how this makes a plant "halal", myself. Any physical building/operation can become "halal", it seems.

Right?

Its been nearly TWO MONTHS since they PRed the meat packing plant. That does not qualify as "soon" in anyones language or culture.

Keep in mind this was only a 1,000sq. ft. facility and looked out of date at that. I'm sure you've seen the pictures. Hardly worldwide market stuff.
