We may not see that "3" until next year. Technically, Eric is not right. Nobody is arguing whether Infineon is now supplying Nokia with 3G chips. The argument is whether Infineon will supply Nokia 3G chips in the future. I am saying that is a real possibility and the info today supports my opinion.
Anybody who says that Infineon who could supply Nokia with 100% of the EDGE chips will not get a 3G design win from Nokia is really streeetching his negative bias against IDCC. Anybody who ignores the natural progression of Edge to HSPA is denying reality.
Despite all that, I only say that it is a real possibility that Infineon will get a 3G design win from Nokia. If anything, I am being a little negative towards that possibility. I should be even more positve but I prefer to be a little conservative in my outlook.
