bim - seems Eric and his buds are nervous about any apparent potential good news for IDCC/IFX

IMO either they're a) worried about Q losing some market share to IFX; b) hoping to see IDCC stagnant or lower (short or call sellers, etc.,) or c) both of the above -take your pick.

me thinks they doth protest tooooooooo much - but at least they're predictable

bim,

I have not read a persuasive argument why Nokia would behave differently than Panasonic, Apple, Samsung or LG who all first bought 2G chips from Infineon and then bought 3G chips. If you just go by past history, then we can expect that Infineon will eventually secure a 3G design win from Nokia. Is it a certainty that it will happen? No. Based on past history I just expect it to happen until I read a persuasive argument that it won't happen.

Perhaps Eric posts were made for the benefit of truth and reality and as an aid for investors to be able to accurately assess their investment. We went through the pie in the sky idea that idcc was going to be another qualcom many years ago, gather in billions of dollars and a share would be worth at least 250 to 600 dollars after it split 10 times and many of those who believed it from faulty information may have made quite different decisions.

I want to know what idcc has not what maybe it will have based on speculation or a wish list with very little basis in fact. I see absolutely nothing wrong in the discussion as it is an exchange in opinions where both sides need to be viewed. Everyone can believe what they want as it is their right, but I believe Eric is the most qualified on this thread and I lean most definitely toward his opinion. I also respect the opinion of those that differ and the exchange has been a good one. mo. .. nic
