I get the feeling that the web page is not

Compatible with Chrome. I am sure now that is the problem. Paypal needs to write Chrome friendly code. I bet they just don't want to.

Just don't use Chrome when you do Paypal. There's no telling what else might be missing.

First off, it's not paypal but ebay.

I suspect the image selection is being made based on software on ebay's site that is not
identifying your Chrome browser and selecting a default picture so as to be able
to render the page. I think you are okay as they both originate from the secure web
site of ebay.
