Enzyme production – METHOCEL™ Cellulose Ethers are used to provide overcoatings that protect enzyme particles from water vapor and inactivating species. They also provide binding characteristics to agglomerate enzyme particles to a useable size.
Dishwashing liquids – POLYOX™ Water-Soluble Resins serve as effective thickeners, foam stabilizers, and emollients in dishwashing liquids.
In dishwashing liquids, METHOCEL Cellulose Ethers contribute to excellent foam stabilization and foam density.
Drain cleaners – In drain cleaning products, POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins add lubricity, and they can be used as binders for pelletized drain cleaners.
Hard surface cleaners – POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins act as thickeners in hard surface and other liquid sprays to control the viscosity of the product. They can thicken both aqueous cleaners and those containing many organic solvents.
CELLOSIZE™ Hydroxyethyl Cellulose products are effective and economical thickeners that provide increased salt tolerance. CELLOSIZE Products are usable over a wide pH range. They are also temperature tolerant, remaining stable when heated or frozen.
Liquid and gelled soap – In liquid bathroom soaps and in gelled soaps ("waterless" hand cleaners) METHOCEL Cellulose Ethers serve as viscosifiers and suspending agents. The surface activity of METHOCEL Cellulose Ethers allows them to boost the miscibility of organic components of soap formulations.
Liquid detergents – METHOCEL Cellulose Ethers provide viscosity control, cling, foaming, soil suspension and anti-redeposition, and emulsion stabilization.
In liquid detergents, CELLOSIZE HEC acts as a rheology modifier and as an efficient thickener, imparting good body structure, a pseudoplastic rheology, and a smooth "feel" to products. The nonionic structure of CELLOSIZE HEC offers good compatibility with surfactants and other formulation ingredients.
Polishes and waxes – POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins add lubricity to polishes and waxes for easier application.
Powdered detergents – POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins are used as flocculation aids for softening agents. POLYOX Products help control the amount of softening agent delivered to the fabric. With their film-forming activity, POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins can be used for water-soluble packaging of solid detergent products.
