bluediamonds- That $40-$80B figure was put out by Tom Allindar and if you read Dr. Hutchisons response closely, you will see that he did not confirm or deny it. He said it is too early to put any figure on the kimberlite until it has been property assessed and they were in the process of doing just that. If anybody takes that $40-80B figure as a solid figure for the DB property, then I think they are hoping/speculating but not working with solid data.
Also, in the past, I believe it was Sterling who drew the comparison/ratio between DB 50000+ acres and their "$40-80B value, to CMKXs 1/4M acres and their hugh value based on the ratio theory. I think that is total fantasy. That interview was conducted in Feb 02. So far nothing has been found to substantiate any of those projected claims.
I think if you read DB PR and data available, you will find that they do not use that %40-80B figure for the value of their property. No one knows until they have successfully done drilling on the scope that SG has and so far DB has not done that kind of drilling. Only SG has done drilling of that large scope and quantity and they are still not prepared to say what the value of their property is.
