I am not in agreement with you on that one. We are constantly picking fleas out of unprotected computers here. We pool our resources and collectively, we try everything that comes out on the internet. Both free and paid are reviewed here. We even have a poster whose idea of a good time is to surf porn sites with an unprotected computer just so he can see what the latest virus builds look like.
number 1 reason for catching fleas and needing our help in removing them is missing or outdated security software.
Doing nothing is a guaranteed way to have to reinstall Windoz at least twice a year with the obligatory loss of data that goes with it.
Yes, I completely agree with you. I did take every program off my machine.
I get my high speed internet from Comcast so the only program I am using is the virus protection software that they give you. It's pretty unobtrusive and there is no noticeable slow down of my notebook.
