If you try the regular Brokers, i.e., E-trade, Fidelity, etc,. They won't let you do it over the internet and not sure you can do it even over the phone. I made the same claim as you and one of the yahoos gave me a Broker I never heard of and asked me to call and verify I could short penny stocks, I did, and the guy said, yes. I guess some folks will do anything for commissions.

Always wondered about that "to big to fail" phrase that has popped up in the last couple years.

It bears an eerie resemblance to the "unsinkable" Titanic.

Catchy, but I'm not crazy about their batting average.

The good news, is none of the trio diablo are so big as to be above the law, and none of them are too big to pay their fines and penalties.

I'm hoping they will be considerably smaller after that though. Then they can fail all they want.
