Besides "principle reduction" is EXACTLY what the banks are getting in 98% of the foreclosures and "short sales."
Although reality may dictate that the bank is taking a principle reduction, the former homeowner is also punished by losing the property and not rewarded by retaining the property and the potential for future gains. I completely disagree with a principle reduction program.
