Well we are still deflating. Technically as of right now housing prices should be roughly 10% lower then pre-bubble pricing.

I wouldn't purchase anything for at least another year.

Real estate should only be bought at the early stages of inflationary cycles

Edit: "Banks" know this too and that why loans are few and far between ;-)
