I would be very, very surprised if the on-going criminal investigation exception from disclosure is abolished.

And, I doubt a FOIA request from Osama asking for plans of federal buildings will be honored.

You must be pretty disappointed in the outcome of the election if you misconstrue a statement that more open government will mean the criminals can ask what the feds have on them so far.

Me? I'm pretty happy things will be opening up. Americans have lived in bunkers far too long. They are out to get us - for sure - but we need not change the entire way we live and act. Then, they win. ... eom

Logic would seem to say that abolishing the "ongoing criminal investigation" exemption to the FOIA would be counter productive to say the least. IMO, it would in fact be aiding and abetting criminal activity. But, I am not an attorney and am merely trained in logic.
