olico - personally I agree with you, it all means crap in the real world.

My sister keeps throwing it back in my face whenever she gets mad at me. She tests at 173 and I'm suppose to be the older brother and should be smarter, etc... Siblings are bad enough normally.
I can usually win the arguement by asking her "And How many times have you been married?".

So I agree in the real world it is crap.

The only real advantage I've gained from it is the ability to "focus" my attention on a project, examine it inside and out, logically determine it's outcome with current factors and to determine what changes need to be made to get the desired outcome.

Otherwise I'm fairly "average" when I am not focused on a project.

And as for JB's assertion of no dilution, it can only work if the BORROWED shares are "OUT OF PLAY" and can not be traded until returned, thus dening the unwilling/unknowing lender the right to trade their shares.
