I have not used this account in awhile and just saw your note. This implies that Medicare Part D is 20% or so of prescription spending - that is an amazing statistic if true. Am I reading it right? 2.2 trillion x 10% = $220 and 47.6 is 21-22% of that. That shows what unchecked entitlement programs can do and also points to tight price controls sooner than later given change of administration, coming massive deficits, reform, etc.
