#50681 RE: ergo sum #50680

Once again, another Democrat puts out opinions, but no numbers. Ergo Sum didnt state any numbers in his/her reply he/she made to my statement. Everyone knows gas prices have been going up; however, the U.S. government does not control Shell, Exxon, Racetrack, or any other gas station. Therefore, the government cannot control the gas prices. The number of people not working has grown in the past 4 years, youre right about that. However, there isnt one person in America that couldnt find work if they wanted to. I am 17 years old without a high school education(yet, just one more year then Im on to college) and I make a lot of money each day cutting lawns and painting mailboxes. If someone wanted a job, there are plenty of jobs available in the U.S. These people that are without jobs are lazy. Pure lazy. In responce to the remark about the milk prices.... thats an issue even Kerry hasnt blamed Bush for yet.
The Federal Deficit, that is a problem. I am a big Bush supporter, but he does like to spend WAY too much. However, he doesnt hold back when it comes to putting money into programs that fight terrorism; which I dont have a problem with at all. I know that was probably a little hard to read, didnt really get to work on it much.

We can thank Bill Clinton for the unbridled growth of the late 90's for the price we're paying today on the economy. Anyone who disputes this can simply pull up a NASDAQ chart from 1995 until now and see how the peak ends in March of 2000 (on Clinton's dime).

As for federal deficit and inflation, you can probably thank Bush for a lot of that, especially with all the socialist programs he's implemented or plans on implementing like the prescription drug plan, AIDS in foreign countries, and nationwide mental health testing.

I don't know that your question is fair. I'd argue we're not better off because of the terrorism threat, again a threat that has been around for several years but practically nothing was ever done. And you have the people here who argue that we should still do nothing, and allow countries that harbor terrorists to continue to be part of the international community with the occasional slap on the wrist from the UN.
