Matt,

You might want to install a keycatcher on some of those computers to find the culprit and a hidden security camera wouldn't hurt but you would have to notify the employees of the devices to avoid legal problems.

Here's a link where you can get a lot of great stuff to keep an eye on your office.

I am once again running my anti virus software this morning to remove a trojan horse. This is the third time in two weeks. What is this, an epidemic? One thing I am wondering? I have a firewall built into my linksys router - I also HAD Zone Alarm, but a few people convinced me that the router firewall was enough so I deleted Zone Alarm. Could it be a coincidence that I have been getting these Trojan Horses since I deleted this program? Should I reinstall Zone Alarm?

Also, two weeks ago when I had a bunch of infected files, part of the virus/trojan was that it kept sending me to porn sites, or porn popups. I am the only person who uses that particular computer and I have never visited a porn site in my life. You don't need to be visiting porn sites to get this thing, Matt.

Hi Matt, just got back from vacation. Had a fun two days fixing my wife's niece's computer. Her sons had Kazaa,p2p software on the computer, no firewall, no av software. I installed Avast, and found two Trojan programs, then ran housecall and found three more Trojan programs. installed and ran ad-aware and spybot, found and cleaned several ad popup programs. had to run cwshreder to get the cool web search, and still had a popup program! Finally with the help of startup inspector and hijackthis, and cookiecop2, I found and got rid of purityscan by Clickspring LLC. http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/purityscan.wtss/index.phtml?source=alerts Wish I had known about Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner v1.13.01, bet it would have been a lot easier!
