what makes you think LG is paying that much, if anything, for 2g handsets?

what happens if you you take the bulk of that 285 mil from LG (or 57 mil/year) and divide by the total number of 3g handsets they sell annually. Do you get around 1-1.50/3g unit? I thought LG was selling about 50 mil 3g handsets per year.


we don't know the breakdown of the LG contract b/w 2g and 3g payments. can you really say that we aren't getting the same rates as the company seeks with LG (for 3g)?

IDCC is stating that they will get 1 to 2 bucks per 3G handset. I haven't seen details to dispute this so far, including the LG contract.

Ronnie, In the London presentation, WM stated that IDCC would be paid an average of a little under $2 for the 3G sold handsets currently accounted for the 50% of the 3G Market. The calculation of the average price should include the LG and Apple fix-fee licenses.
