Yeah but we didn't have fancy stuff like that on the boat. I just started out browning the flour in a skillet before making the gravy, then it turned out nice and brown.
After I pleased that Captain well enough another one came on board and he was mexican.
1st meal I made while he was there he grabs me by the shirt collar and demands to know why I didn't make any rice!
After 2 weeks I gave up on that boat.
