Distribution, about the use of that word.

Is it possible that when crafting an 8K, a lawyer uses the word distribution, knowing that in the legal context of an 8K for this company, distribution only refers to cash?

What forms the basis of the optimism. I am not doubting it, I've seen distributions happen in cases like these, just curious as to what the jist of the basis is.
